Finance for Non-Financial Managers: The “Make a Million” Simulation
Business simulations are great teambuilding and they are also provide excellent training in the financial skills of management including understanding business accounts.
We use the “Make a Million” full-day simulation. This is a challenging test of ability and places a strong emphasis on crucial business skills including financial management, strategic planning, people development, and marketing. The game can be played with up to five teams with three to five players in each team.
The simulation is interspersed with various input sessions on key aspects of financial management:
- Cashflow
- The Profit and Loss Account
- The Balance Sheet
- Performance Measures
The course lasts one day.
The programme is presented by Ross Maynard, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Ross has provided training to some of the world’s leading companies including Boeing, Rolls Royce, Thermofisher Scientific, Parker Hannifin and many others.
