Ideas into Action is the lean service and process improvement business comprising Ross Maynard, Hugh Brawley, Mike Cusack and Steve Annetts. We specialise in lean service in public and private sector organisations, including process simulation and modelling, and related training and development programmes.

Our Team

Ross Maynard

Ross is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, with a BSc (Honours) in Hotel, Catering and Tourism Management and a Diploma in Marketing. Ross has 20 years experience in the provision of organisational development support to organisations of all sizes; specialising consultancy, coaching and training in Throughput Accounting, lean service, value-based pricing, and process improvement/ problem solving.

 

Ross is also a trained kaizen facilitator working with cross functional teams to improve lean services. He uses software tools to simulate business processes to enhance understanding of those processes, for scenario planning, and to facilitate improvement activity.

Ross is author of "Successful Business Growth" published by Hodder and Stoughton, in 1998, as well as many published articles on business improvement and lean management. Ross is an NLP Master Practitioner.

Hugh Brawley

Hugh has 30 years experience in change management, organisational development and lean sigma. He is licensed to deliver Black Belt and Green Belt Lean Sigma qualifications, and has outstanding experience in lean and six sigma process improvement projects in the public and private sectors. Hugh is a very highly qualified individual:

Lee Wilson

Lee began her career as a medical scientist completing a BSc (honours) degree in Immunology and Pharmacology, followed by a research PhD in Vascular Pharmacology. Thereafter Lee worked at Fetal Origins of Adult Disease Centre, a flagship centre of excellence for medical research, as a British Heart Foundation Post-doctoral research fellow and leader of vascular research for the Centre.

Subsequently, Lee has provided research and analysis for key projects in academia, local authorities, the police service, NHS and private sector organisations (including BAE Systems, Bombardier and Royal Liver Assurance).

Lee has key skills in all stages of the research process, from defining and planning research projects, execution, interpretation of results, report writing and presentation. Lee is also an experienced project manager with experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders in both public and private sectors.

Steve Annetts

Steve Annetts is a key resource on lean enterprise. He is a former company director with 25 years experience of business transformation. Steve is a highly experienced lean sensei, as well as a mentor and coach. He has worked on lean with many organisations, from family owned businesses to multinational corporations. His skills and experience include:
